thanks, i am having windows XP and unable to find network and sharing center in my pc. How i can check, whether i have a wireless modem in my desktop.
some method to tell whether you have wireless modem or not??
1 Look in the bottom right corner of your desktop (with a Windows operating system). There should be a small icon that looks like two computer monitors. If this icon is there then you have a wireless modem installed.
2 Click on "Start" followed by "Control Panel." Once the Control Panel has opened select "Internet Connections." In here you can see the different methods your computer uses to connect to the Internet. Check for any wording pertaining to "Wireless Internet." If you find it, you most likely have a wireless modem installed.
3 Look in your user manual for the computer. In the manual it is going to say if the system came with a preinstalled wireless modem.
4 Right-click with your mouse on the small desktop icon in the right corner (if you do have the wireless modem) to bring up a pull-up menu. Select "View Wireless Connections." This is going to bring up all of the available wireless networks your wireless modem has access to.
if you cannot find network and sharing center then directly go to "set up a new connection"
hope it works..
