Wow I bought the htc wildfire s for my wife a couple months ago and imo this phone is a total piece of crap. I find it very hard to believe that with all the technology that we currently have and the company knowing how people love more memory on their phones that they came up with the cheesy setup. Sorry for venting but if I did not pay for this phone with my own money then I would be playing baseball with it in the backyard right now!!!!!  Ok now that I got that out is there any application that will allow you to install applications to the sd card. If a person could do this then it would solve all of the BS caused by this internal memory if that's what they call it. LOL I really do not want to mess with the OS but if I have to I will. I just want to be able to install apps to the micro shdc memory card. You could put a 32 gb card in the phone and have every app you could possibly want on the phone if you can just install them on the sd card but from my experience there are very few apps that the phone will allow you to put on the sd card. Sure would appreciate some help with this issue. My wife loves the phone except for the fact she cannot install any apps on it. Thank you

Some apps can be moved to the SD card, some can't.
Go through the "Settings", "Manage applications" menu, and select each app you've downloaded.
There will be a "Move to SD card" button on that screen. It will be white for apps that can be moved, and grey for ones that can't.
(In general, if an app supplies a widget, then it can't be moved.)

Actually that was not my question but I do appreciate you attempting to help me out. I already know how to do what you stated and I even believe I mentioned something about certain apps going on the sd card but it is so friggen limited that it is more or less completely worthless imo. I just read in another post that there is an update or app that will allow you to put almost any app on the sd card but I am not sure. This phone is actually a very nice phone but they made it total garbage by the way they setup the OS and memory on this thing. Man the person who developed this device must have been mentally challenged to say the least. So I guess what you are saying then is what I want to do more or less cannot be done at least at the present time, is this correct? I really do not want to mess with the OS because to me the phone is just not worth it with the minimal internal memory it has.

Ahhh yes, I do see you mentioned  that towards the end of the rant.
Note the dates of any other posts you saw on this forum. Anyrhing posted before about Feb 2011 is about the Wildfire, not the Wildfire S.
There is an active community developing replacement ROMs for HTC phones, which allow you to remove factory default apps and extend internal memory onto a special partition on ann SD card, but it's early days yet for the Wildfire S model, and not much available.

Yeah don't see where you could blame anyone on this earth for ranting about the wildfire s. Thanks for your help as I do appreciate it and I also tossed you a cookie as well. LOL Honestly you must admit that whoever invented this phone was still living in the stone age for damn sure.  Grin

1. Have you rooted the phone
2. Have you use App2SD
3. Have you update the OS to the latest one

I have done all these 3 steps for my wife's phone & she is little more happier than before as the phone won't prompt her anymore again internal memory lacking problem.

** note: Seems step 3 made the magic on expanding more usable memory as far as I noticed after the OS upgrade.

For me, I am not geeks so I won't load in completely new/another ROM but doing above 1,2 & 3 seems sufficient for the time being. However, if you are kind of trying to install many new apps for fun/experiencing my situation seems not your cup of tea as memory I gained is merely sufficient for my wife daily use without heavily downloading other new apps. (she is not geeks for DL apps, but Whatapps, handcent she is still needing it & need to DL)

Thanks for your input but as you mentioned and I am already aware of the processes you are referring to really does not free up enough space to make it worth while. The bottom line is the phone is just a low in design and imo was not thought through so I will just wait for someone to come up with a user friendly app that will allow app installs to the sd card or just get rid of the phone because of it's limitations.

Try this, it should let you move all the apps to SD Card except Google Maps, Youtube etc

Before I go thru the steps of downloading and installing this app I wanted to make sure that you know for sure that this will work on the wildfire s and not just the wildfire. According to an administrator on the site here they stated that there are no such apps for the wildfire s at the present time. I am not doubting your word but I just wanted to make sure you know I am referring to the wildfire s and not the wildfire. Thank you for you input and a cookie has been tossed your way.
