The full package for the HTC Wildfire S
More about Cyanogenmod can be read at

I didn't make this port - and I take no credit for it. If you mess up your phone it is not my fault (that's a lot quicker than putting a disclaimer!)
[/i]

Instuctions
1) Backup stuff! - This WILL remove all apps and contacts!
2) Download this (clockwork based recovery), this (Google based apps) and  this (Data2SD installer).
3) Copy them all to the SD card. Make sure that the Clockwork based recovery is called PG76IMG.ZIP
4) Reboot your phone into HBOOT. - If you do not understand what this is then Google HBOOT.
5) Click yes to the update
6) Reboot into normal. Delete the PG76IMG.ZIP file on your SD card or delete via USB or SDCARD reader.
7) Reboot your phone into HBOOT (you may need to remove the battery after turning it off)
Cool Select recovery
9) Factory wipe your phone (click yes)
10) Advance -> Wipe Dalvik cache (click yes again)
11) back -> Click choose zip from sd card
12) Select update-cm-7.1.0-BETA1-marvel-KANG-signed.zip
13) Reboot
14) Turn off your phone, HBOOT, recovery
15) Choose ZIP
16) Select Data2SDInstallerX1.zip
17) Reboot
18) Turn off phone, etc.
19) Select gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
20) Reboot
21) Enjoy

Any problems just comment - be poilite and remember to say thanks to alquez from XDA Forums

Hi,
is the 'update-cm-7.1.0-BETA1-marvel-KANG-signed.zip'  generated by the PG76IMG.ZIP when its exacted?
In other words do you need a version of CM7 on the device be fore you can update it?

Also, any links to the original cm7 developer site?

Thanks

Install PG76IMG.ZIP first to avoid errors. This port is on XDA - Post updated.

if i put this on my phone
-the flashlight the market and the gmail will not work?
-will i have hungarian language?
-is it possible to put back my original software?
-will this rom unlock my phone? (or will it work with my hungarian simcard like now?)
-is this the newest cyanogenmod for wildfire S? can i update it?
-will my phone lose its guarantee?

hello benjamingwynn & htcwildfireforums -

thanx for posting the cyanogenmod for wildfire s lowdown. i am eager to try it and have been searching for the full recipe before i move forward. bouncing off web walls for days i find bits and pieces of the 'how to' and find your instructions to be the most comprehensive so far.

i have one request - please provide requirements for the task such as unlocked bootloader, s-on or s-off, etc. probably obvious requirements but i admit, i'm a rookie.

i've quickly discovered the wildfire s is a tricky one to get running with the cyanogenmod. all your time and effort is much appreciated.

I am happy for the disclaimer.  I would add that alquez on XDA made the port... thanks to him for all his hard work.  He made Unofficial CWM and Unofficial CM7.  The cwm has raised enough attention that koush made an official version Smiley  So wildfire's recovery is supported due in part to the hard work of alquez.  All hail the chieftan Wink

Hello,

Thanks for the post it helped me install the custom ROM.

I have a little problem with the Cyanogen mod 7.2.  The app for making phone calls is not shown and i can't seem to find it.  Has anyone else had this problem.

I may go and install the JikantaruROM XE 11.  However when i last tried this i just got a screen saver with random colour shapes with no functionality

I didn't test this particular build, but on typical install, its in the menu at bottom left.  Never had too many issues in what I did test, but I got a marvel late in the game.  Eoghan of WFSDev team.. Benji and I also members, makes nightlies over on XDA).  Benji's got a nice rom .sense...  Also, a lot of easy picking (in case you're antiXDA can be found on Rom Manager as eluded in my earlier post.  Jikarantu had good stuff; mindh4x8r kind of picked up his torch and ran with it.  Hope that helps you out a bit.  Really about preference I suppose.  Good luck.
